The famous architect, Brunel, designed The Royal in the 19th century. Its rooms decorated in a traditional style with soft duvets and goose and down pillows. Lovely Easter weekend in this...
Excellent location, beautiful building, clean and staff were very helpful welcoming and friendly.
Nothing. Booked small double, good value for money bite next time I would upgrade.

Disappointing
Location was great! Most of the staff were friendly.
Our triple family room was dark, dated & hot. There was no view from the window & we were reluctant to have the window open , as there appeared to be a number of pigeons nesting just above. The breakfast was poor. Despite arriving 45 mins before breakfast service finished, there was very little choice for the continental breakfast, with items not being replenished. We waited nearly 50 mins for the cooked breakfast & when it arrived, some of the partie's poached eggs were hard & and overcooked, as was my smoked haddock. Waitress appeared unhappy to be there & we felt like an inconvenience. Overall, I would not recommend it.
