Very uncomfortable
Breakfast was a brown paper bag with a water and fruit cup and cereal bar in it Hotel was dirty and smelled moldy. Had to change rooms 3 times to get one that didn't smell or have lighting issues
It was only a 2 miles from work event

Long past its prime, and...
The price wasn't bad, and the location was great for getting into the city and around but I wasn't in the city so that we liked.
Well we though ght It was a Hampton inn... Which I think it was at one point. It now goes only by Mcknight hotel and it definitely isn't up to Hampton inn standards. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk for 5 minutes. Then we get checked in, and I noticed there an active leak in the lobby.... Ok no big deal leaks happen right. Going to the elevator I noticed that for a hotel the floor is very dirty. Get to our room and the same thing... The floor is very dirty, and the room itself was once a nice room. But not it's past its prime and in need of critical repairs. Aside from being dirty, the sheets were clean and fresh, the bed was rock hard... The bathroom sink is cracked the whole way though so it leaks on the floor.... Ask me how I know aside from the broken porcelain haha. The Jacuzzi tub surprisingly worked but the pump bearing are bad and it sounds like a jet engine.... Not romantic at all. Various spots within the tub seams sealant has visible mildew/ mold growth as well. The one TV remote had batteries that were long past its prime leaking, and didn't work but the other remote did work and was ok. So all in all the room could be ok if it was at least clean, and the sink didn't leak but it's in bad shape and definitely put a damper on our trip. Also, the pool is drained for some reason...and the water fountain didn't work, and they still charged for water bottles... So as a guest you don't get free water..... And the grab and go breakfast sucked. It just did. A paper bag with a cereal bar, bottle of water and fruit cup.

Hotel in transition
This hotel is transitioning from a (fairly run down) Hampton Inn to a Holiday Inn, the staff told us. Some important upgrades have already happened: the bed was *exceptionally* comfortable, shower head is a new one, desk area and its lighting very nice. Looked like a new fridge.
Clear signs of wear on walls and trim, water damage, etc. The bedside lighting was jarringly bright, with no dimmer adjustment. "Grab & go" breakfast was minimal: bottle of water, small granola fruit bar. The small container of cut fruit was appreciated, tho. The new toilet's handle didn't flush easily: we needed to remove the lid and pull the chain by hand.

It sucked!!
Although dated, needing upgrade. The staff was very nice and the hotel was as clean as possible, the pool and hot tub were not in service as advertised on booking.com. My stay was disappointing and will never book in this site again. I tried to cancel the reservation no phone number. Googled the site and someone tried to scam me. I was told to go to a Walgreens or pharmacy near me to buy a card $100 and I would be refunded for the hotel, price of the card and $50’” for my trouble. I decided this is cannot be real and just took the hit. Thanks booking.com you suck!!
The lights in my room didn’t work the hotel was old and dated the pool and hot tub were out of service.
