Good location, some flaws.
Perfect location. Walking distance to the stadium and tons of restaurants, plus Target, Trader Joe’s, etc. Right in the middle of everything.
The hotel is reasonably modern/updated, clean, and the room was spacious. Very good counter space in the bathroom.
The included breakfast was below average. The eggs in particular were awful.
The modern decorative touches in the room looked nice, but proved to be inconvenient. For example, the sliding barn-style door that spanned the closet and bathroom is certainly trendy, and a space saver, however this door was so heavy that it was very difficult to push from side to side. An elderly person or a child- or anyone without pretty strong arms- would certainly struggle with it. Next there was the nozzle that switched the water flow from the bathtub spout to the shower. In an attempt to be modern and decorative, this little lever is completely flush with the tub spout, such that it is completely camouflaged. It took two of us scratching our heads for a few minutes to figure this out. The front desk must get a dozen calls a day from people who can’t figure out how to turn the shower on. Next, the hooks on the wall in the bathroom were also more decorative than functional. They are wide and flat- too wide. A hanger would not fit over one of these hooks, nor did the hanger attachment on a toiletry bag.
Final complaint about the room was that the A/C unit was extremely loud. We mostly kept it off which was fine for a visit in March with mild weather, but in the summer this would be unacceptable.
Overall, we felt that this place was fine, and we might return, but the handful of flaws did leave us inclined to check out the other hotels in the same area.
