Best choice for the money!...
We have stayed here before and always enjoy the experience. It is the best hotel in the area which accommodates our needs and is a short drive to our family. The room is comfy, I sleep extremely well there, breakfast is good and there is a variety of foods to choose from. They even have blue lights in the lobby, which we know are helpful in killing bacteria from flu and other viruses. Also, there is plenty of parking, which is free. In spite of the fact the hotel is on a main thoroughfare, there is no issue with noise. The facility is always clean, the staff are mostly AWESOME and we will return when on our next trip to the area.
We did have a problem with our heater for the first 3 days. We were freezing at night!! Our stay was over New Year's, so it was WINTER and we are from the south, so it was very cold for us! There was an individual on staff who supposedly inspected the room, after our first night, when we complained about it the next morning, and she declared it 'fine'. And because she said it was 'fine', we were not allowed to change rooms for the second night. Our son became sick with a chest cold and on the third night, we begged for a new room and got one. As soon as the staff walked into the doorway (not the room - she had to verify the temperature) of the then very cold room, she immediately went to get new room keys. We should've moved rooms sooner! The 'inspector' should've have come to 'inspect' the room between 12Midnight and 5am because you could see your breath when you breathed!! At any rate, once we could take no more, we appreciated the immediate friendly response and the new warmer room. Two nights frozen was quite enough.
We try to deal with any issues we have without asking for help. It was a little upsetting when the first response we received to our query was that 'there was no issue'. When a guest has been there multiple times, as we have, any complaint should not be discounted so readily. THAT individual, the supposed 'inspector', needs to be counselled.
