Warm, cosy and friendly hotel...
Close proximity to travel links as well as theatres.
Staff seemed to be confused about who could extend our room on the day of departure.

Great Hotel for visiting London...
Clean and comfortable room with excellent shower. I liked the fact that the window could be opened - and yet there was no traffic noise from outside at all. Quiet room in long corridor on the second floor (with a lift). Very helpful and courteous staff on reception. Nice gesture of free chocolates and mineral water as we arrived plus the offer of a later check out, which sadly we couldn't take due to work. Within walking distance (20 mins) along the Thames to the Bridge Theatre and lots of restaurants.
It was quite hot in the room when we arrived but we could turn the radiator down so could control this temperature overnight.

Run for the hills
It was fine - you get what you pay for
Where do I start :-| the complete opposite of a warm welcome on arrival. The older Italian? man behind the front desk was extremely difficult and rude over a payment ‘dispute’, he almost put myself and 8yo daughter on the street like two worthless animals. Realising he was being very unreasonable decided to charge my card again and ‘let’ us stay. He made us feel like we should be eternally grateful to him for his ‘kindness’. We received glares from him every time we passed the lobby for the rest of the time making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. THEN on the first evening we had a fire alarm, where we were evacuated from the hotel and put out into the cold. Once the fire department had left we were given no explanation. Once we finally fell asleep again the second fire alarm went off, we went down again and they told us it was a fault in the system, no fire and to go back upstairs. The fire alarm continued to go off for a long time on and off throughout the night. The next morning we were stressed and tired, we requested a complimentary breakfast as compensation for the lack of sleep and the same mean man laughed at me and said how dare I ask for such a thing. There was no apology and again made himself out to look like a hero, that the fire alarm was not his fault and that we should be grateful we were ‘kept safe’… Never in my life have I been treated like this in a hotel. Absolutely embarrassing and disgusted.
