Great place but management could...
Great location. Clean and comfortable
The elevators weren’t working and there was little to no assistance offered to remediate this issue for guests. I walked up and down 9?flights of stairs but I was apphauled that the hotel management didn’t have staff directly helping guests who weren’t able to do so.

The experience was effortlessly cool,...
The location of the property is superb, just a 10-minute walk to Bryant Park where I highly recommend ice skating, a must-do winter activity! Additionally, it's a 15-minute stroll to Flatiron and Eataly, my favorite spot, and a pleasant 20-minute walk to Hudson Yards and the High Line, with the Empire State Building practically around the corner. Times Square is an additional 8-minute walk from Bryant Park, offering plenty of food and shopping options. As for the property itself, it exudes a simple art deco style with cleanliness and a charming old vibe. The lively staircase and subtle vintage accents add to its character. Clean!!! The staff, including the cleaning ladies, were exceptionally friendly, and we were granted an early check-in.
The elevator posed challenges with extended wait times, especially during peak hours, and being on the sixth floor necessitated occasional stair use, which personally wasn't an issue for me but might be for others, especially those with luggage or young children; ongoing construction on one elevator made it unreliable, while the other seemed super slow and cramped. Additionally, the closure of the downstairs coffee area was a drawback, leaving guests with the only option of seeking breakfast and coffee outside, although the proximity of Starbucks and other breakfast options alleviated this inconvenience to some extent. No coffee makers in the rooms / good size fridge though. Also, I saw a small microwave downstairs at the lobby. I would recommend asking for a room with an actual window and a view. Some rooms have literally no functional windows making it dark and creepy looking. One of our rooms had only one window facing a wall, so now sunlight. Parking, priced at $66 per day down the street with valet. Drop off and pick up was smooth. However, despite being told that there is a discount for hotel guests, this wasn't honored despite showing my hotel key card. I suggest addressing this matter with the hotel, as advertised discounted parking wasn't honored by Mayers parking. Fruit flies in the bathroom.

Not pleasant
We slept in our car from 5am to 1pm because our room was not ready When I booked I specifically said I was going to arrive at 2am and even when we got there, they made zero attempt to facilitate us. The staff was rude and couldn't care less that we had to stay in a car. One of the guy told us "we can go to another hotel", but why would we go to another hotel when this one was already paid for? It's not like they were going to refund us. The elevator keeps sticking on floor 3. Sometimes we waited up to 30mins for the elevator. No coffee or coffee machines. No microwave in the room as well. STAY FAR. Hgreat location but horrible experience...
Everything but the location...
