Disappointing
The staff was very kind, both at the hotel and pool building. The room was clean and very spacious. The TV had a lot of channels and the heater worked great. The bed and pillows were comfy and the towels, blankets and sheets were clean. The furniture was very nice, granite shelves on the night stands, 2 benches, large table, nice lamps, college sized fridge and a microwave. Hand soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided also. The continental breakfast was fine. We had delicious sausage, french toast sticks, cereal, bagels, toast, variety of juice, lemonade, coffee, yougurt and jello.
There were homeless people hanging around and begging in the front of the hotel and people living at the hotel, which I suppose gave me an eye opening to what is happening in the American economy. It just made me feel less safe than I normally would in the past, especially since the rooms are the type you enter in from the street type of rooms.
The air outside of my room reaked of marijuana and permeated into my room, making me feel sick all night. (No fault of the hotel, since I understand it's legal in VT). However, the hot water was luke warm and ran out within 5 minutes when taking a shower. And the top part of pool liner was full of mold, but again it's not owned by the hotel, but a club that lets the hotel members use it as a add on. At least, I took a hot shower over at the pool facility.
