Expectations weren't quite reached
We walked into the hotel and were immediately taken in by the beauty of the lobby. They had a little shop, water and lemon water for the guests, and beautiful furniture. We checked in and went to our room. It was so nice. There was a little seating area with a chair and ottoman, a desk with chair and lamp and a cute little kitchenette with a microwave, Keurig and small refrigerator. The bathroom had glass shower doors, which was great compared to other hotels with shower curtains that "attack" you in the shower. There were full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in the bathroom for guest use and the brand was great. I read up on the brand and it is eco-friendly, had zero sulfates, zero parabens, zero phthalates, zero artificial colors, and zero animal testing, which really impressed me. Also, there were plenty of power and USB ports in the room for all of our charging needs.
We checked in and the young woman at the front desk didn't charge us the right amount and said she would have her manager fix it and in the process, charged the whole thing to the wrong card. Thankfully, the charge dropped off the next day and all was well. The bed was very, very firm. The hallway carpet to our room really needed to be cleaned as there were many stains on it. The hot water in our bathroom sink didn't work and we were told we could move, but we had already unpacked everything, so we chose to stay. They didn't have a maintenance man after 5:00, apparently. But, they did try to make it right, so I don't fault them for that, since we chose to stay in that room. There was also couple cosmetic issues in the room that needed attention, like wallpaper seams lifting.
