Do not book here, book.com...
I have booked a hotel reservation for the night before in a hurry because it was recommended by booking.com, I haven’t had any issues with their recommendations before. In the morning, I checked google reviews of the hotel i'd be staying at, however to my horror, other clients had complained of having black mold in their rooms, i became anxious so i called the hotel around noon to speak with the office manager voicing my concern. I told him i know i booked a nonrefundable room (there was not a refundable option on booking.com either way, i had no choice), i've read the bad reviews of people having mold in their room. Although i booked a non-refundable room, i would just like to visit their property and after inspection, if the rooms are clean then I'd stay no problem, because mold at this point is a health concern. Instead of the manager telling me to visit the property, he'd make sure I'd have a good experience, he told me to contact booking.com to have them contact him and he'd talk with them to help me cancel. He verbally agreed to help me cancel free of charge, so booking.com sent him a request for a full refund at 12 noon and he didn't check his email until I had to call him to ask did he had received it yet at 5 pm, which he then checks his inbox and decline the request with booking.com at 6:32 pm reason being that i canceled after reservation time although i called in the morning to speak with him, so he charged me a no show. If he had been honest with me from the start, saying "your booking is 100% non-refundable but come give us a visit, you don't need to worry about any mold issue", i'd be happy to visit no questions asked. The way that this hotel runs their business is very shady because I've tried to message them through booking.
