Pretty good. Convenient. Different.
Rooms has a distinct Bostonian character. Nice decor and great clean beds.
The lobby situation with the microwaves and breakfast area were visually unappealing just ramshackle like the owners had no pride in making things neat. And the musty annd stuffy odors the lobby areas and stairwells were off putting. Perhaps typical of these old brownstones with old interiors and carpets.

The bathroom was big and clean.
I stayed 3 days and only during the first day they opened the heater. At nights they were closing heater and it was cold.

Disappointing
I love the Beacon Inn and have been coming for years!!!! However, this stay was awful... I left a long note on the form downstairs. 1. It was freezing 2. My shower tap was not functional, I couldn't have a warm shower 3. Water POURED from the ceiling in the morning for 10 minutes, coming from the shower upstairs in room 9 or 8? I went downstairs to tell someone at 9am but there was no one there.

It was disgusting the bedding...
Nothing it was full of rude staff that went into your room without permission throwing away stuff that they had no business throwing away like a bag of clothes
The staff was rude and it was an unclean property
